Fairy Tale Ball

This year's hottest ticket for families-Childcare Resources' second annual Fairy Tale Ball--is now on sale. A sellout in its inaugural year, the Fairy Tale Ball will be held Saturday, August 23, at the Cahaba Grand Conference Center on Highway 280 East in Birmingham. Children and adults can dance the night away with fairy tale characters like Cinderella and the Big Bad Wolf and enjoy magicians, jugglers, and other entertainment at the gala, presented by the Junior Board of Childcare Resources.

The black-tie optional event, to be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., will feature music by Tekneek, hors d'oeuvres, cocktails for grown-ups, a candy "bar" for children, and a silent auction. Tickets are $130 for a family of four with up to two adults and $15 per additional child (age 12 and under). Individual adult tickets are $65. Rest Area at City Stages

If you are heading out to City Stages this weekend please use the Alabama Baby rest area complete with diaper changing station and kiddie only port-o-let. We'll have extra supplies of sunscreen, hand sanitizer and basic first-aid items.

Babies Gone Wild

From what I understand over 2 million votes were cast as parents lobbied to make their baby the next cover star of Alabama Baby magazine. Baby Hayden battled it out and will be featured on the Fall issue. Stay Tuned
